WATCH THE RAIN

The icy street is slowly melting The geese are flying over going home A young girl passes on the sidewalk She picks up something from the ground I stand and watch the rain I watch the rain come down I stand and watch the rain I watch the rain come down The snow on the roof is mostly melted The rain keeps changing into sleet The young girl presses something to her breast And turns back up the melting street
