Sue was 53, lived with mom and dad How she got there we don't know Soon she told us all the stories of her past Left behind by growing up Growing up Told us about abuse and subsequent divorce And the man she had before was even worse Told us about the time she wanted to die Had a baby that didn't Didn't come out alive When adulthood beats you down til you're destroyed You become a child again As I sit here in the clouds chasing the sun I wonder if I'll ever keep up
