Setting Sun

If only things worked out differently Feelings are stuck in places And I can't get out From a place of despair The exit sign is like a warning over my head It tricks me into surrendering the sunset You know, sometimes things are better left unsaid And anything is possible if you can forget Last night, I saw you in my dream Wonder where's the next stop And I didn't get out It didn't feel right I'd like to believe in the things you do I should turn and leave out of the blue An aching pause has shaped the things we felt They are now finally waning like the setting sun
