I've seen ghosts They were dancing by the willow last night Telling jokes About a debt they still owe in a past life Cartoons in the attic The television just turned on all by itself Cards strewn in the ashes And playing noughts and crosses in the dust on the shelf And I heard them singing like I've seen ghosts Tire swinging by the river last night Heard them boast Wires bringing flickers to the house light Talk shows in the attic The television just turned on all by itself Poke holes in the fabric Of all the dramatized tales I hear them telling themselves
