I wish I could go Back home Before Mom and Dad picked favorites Before expectations Before all the growing up Right where I thought I always needed to be We were kids, we would run, and we'd play all day Now we're miles apart and Dad's gone gray Our legos are stored in the basement where we Haven't touched them in years, but they're still there I miss the days of the foam sword fights And the cartoons every single night I worry about you cooped up in that home Come here, let's just be kids now We'll play Pokemon and sneak behind our parents I hope that you're doing okay 'Cause I haven't seen you in 9 days And I want to see you again We were kids, we had no, we had no problems Except what Mom would make for dinner at night Or who gets a turn on the Playstation When Call of Duty would release our anger I miss the days of lightsaber fights And the jokes that only we understand I worry about you cooped up in that home When we accidentally smashed the lights And we thought that Mom would kill us I haven't felt alive since then Let's play video games in the basement And act like the world isn't so scary Before we can let down anyone
