Sitting under scarce Sahara shade Hiding from the harsh mid-day sun Lies a little flower beneath the rock and sand Living in his sheltered home Safe in solitude and being alone Then one day came the goddess of rain And spread her love all across the land The little flower beneath the rock and sand Had never known a love like this before The desert flower wasn't alone anymore But the rain would fall no more Never quench his thirst again A flower dying in the desert Just a simple metaphor For anyone who's ever been lonely before
