The Way is wordless And words are illusions Do not conceive any delight From the cradle of rebirth Devils and demons possess The power of manifestation They create appearances Of Bodhisattvas in all their guises The Way has no scene or sound It's subtle gods and men remain unaware In countless ages gone by Neither life nor death can restrain this mind Hearing, Seeing, Smelling, Tasting My mind is limitless Move through birth and death Realize the essence I remain unmoved Enter by practice Wander through all Manners of existence Cut loose all preconceptions Realize your true notions The journey will reach its end When you are ready to let bend Your reality and your nature What you knew is no more now What will be will form no doubt Push the edge to end the karma Nurture your awareness Move through birth and death Realize the essence Good and bad are distant Cause and effect are clear Do not fall straight into endless darkness I turn from vital to trivial I climb the mountain of five Skandhas I cross the river of samsara No karma can restrain me I'm subtle and hard to see See your nature Understand by yourself Get to the bottom of life and death The further you get from the sage's meaning You will remain blind to your own divine And you'll suffer in the three realms Without hope of release Such is mortal's karma No escape from birth and death Once the mortals see their nature All attachments end Don't end up among the lower order of existence Or among the poor and despised They can't live or they can't die Despite their sufferings They say they are happy as Gods Cause of the burden of their karma Such fools can't live and can't get free Erudition and knowledge are not only useless But also can ruin your awareness Doctrines are only for pointing to the mind Once you see your mind Why pay attention to doctrines You can transform anything You can possess spiritual powers That can't be obstructed You'll be at peace wherever you are If you doubt this You'll never see through anything You're better off doing nothing Awareness isn't hidden But you can only find it right now It's only now If you want to find the Way Don't hold on to anything Don't make effort Realization comes naturally The harder you try the further you get From the sage's meaning And you'll remain blind To your own divine nature
