As the embodied soul continually passes From boyhood to youth and then to old age Similarly soul also passes From this body to another at death The self-realized soul Is not bewildered by such a change From dusk till dawn in search of divine Hours of prayer and devotion of mind But when the blank shadow Showed its real face Illusions and motions all Blended in grace All visions collapse I take this moment of inertia To give birth to a new soul To step further and beyond To share my true nature To furnish what's worn out To ask for what's been left around Turn from delusions back to reality Meditate on walls and move by the deity Detach yourself from all that exist Stop imagining or seeking anything To seek is to suffer Glorify the way of enlightenment To seek is to suffer Glorify the way of enlightenment To seek is to suffer Glorify the way of enlightenment Be free from the impurity of being Be free from the impurity of self Be free from the impurity of being Be free from the impurity of self Though I do no wrong I'm punished by my past By suffering injustice I enter the path Neither Gods nor men can foresee To seek is to suffer To seek nothing is bliss All visions collapse I take this moment of inertia To give birth to a new soul To step further and beyond To share my true nature To furnish what's worn out To ask for what's been left around Deluded people Seeking Longing for something Be the wise and wake up Choose Reason over custom Fix the mind On the sublime Let the body change with the seasons
