Nana's Dedication

I remember when I had that week where all I could do was think about you I thought about the way your hugs were when we came to visit The affirmations you placed over our lives How much you told us you loved us I sat back and felt your presence in mine Picking my head up because of me reminiscing on when you were here I remember having a rough week thinking about you Wishing you were here to witness my growth and accomplishments But I heard you tell me that you loved me That small voice in the back of my head spoke volumes towards me You gave me motivation like you used to do when you were here I felt my spirit arise, with the thought of you at mind I couldn't believe my eyes, my grandma speaking to me from another life God allowed this connection to be made He really does send his angels My grandma is watching over me I remembered that feeling but I still wanted to know if you were okay I will always remember that special confirmation I received from you in the midst of my dream That dream still sits in my mind every time I think about you I was in shock as well as a state of happiness because I finally saw you since that devastating period of my life I was afraid but I was also empowered due to the outcome I remember that myself and my family was having a game night Where we decided that we were going to go bowling It was my last turn to go after receiving a strike in that cinematic movie playing throughout my sleep I reached for my bowling ball and guess who I saw You Nana was sitting at a circular table with other elders I had only seen my grandma because she was facing me and the other's had their backs turned I froze in disbelief because I saw her again, knowing that she's been gone for a couple of years now She gazed into my eyes with a gentle confirmation, showing me that huge smile of hers Silence became outspoken because she let me know through the exchange of feelings that she was okay and I shouldn't worry That she's in a better place, enjoying the heavens and free from her pain here on earth I felt myself smile back looking to speak to her All of a sudden the scene bursts into a bright white light and as I opened my eyes It was a fresh new morning And I said to me she's really okay She spoke to me for that specific reason...to tell me she loves me
