Flooded

Same routine everyday for a couple years Ain't no wonder why I ain't found my outta here Waking up at 11, half the day is gone And struggling for a couple hours to make a basic song I've been wondering why I'm so complacent In retrospect, I'm really here just doing the same shit Ain't pushin' myself enough to get adjacent With goals and dreams I have, instead, all my shits still in my parents basement The pain of growth is overdue, it's time to face it So sick of having all this extra time and I just waste it A couple wins here and there, success, I love to taste it But riding highs will only get you asking where the days went So what I mean is that I've been tricking myself Kicking myself down because I feel lonely and stick to myself But really it's sick for my health and it's time for me to man up I gotta f*ck up a couple times, cause you gotta fall before you stand up I've got a lot that I've got pride in But now it's time to be humble Almost ready just to dive in And yeah at first, I'll probably stumble I use to want this for the validation But now I do it cause I love it No, I don't mind being patient Soon enough my bank account will be flooded I'm scaling up the summit Distractions Wanna smoke, drink Eat, play games, just don't think Been doin that too much, but it's just part of the process Shedding all my vices slowly, too fast makes me nauseous I clearly see that I've been playin it too cautious Inside my head, it looks like ratchet ho's inside a mosh pit Thoughts are bouncing off each other, fueled up like a rocket This meditation shit is helping clear out all the toxic Logic fogging up mind Help me stay present, focus, one thing at a time Be decisive in relaxing, be decisive in the grind Both feet in the water, build a man in his prime I'm real that that I love to shine While I feel the thrill of the climb Instill the skills that'll pay While I filter through all the grime Take pride in what i've accomplished Put my soul in every line Ima keep good energy constant So I can't wait to see what I'll find I've got a lot that I've got pride in But now it's time to be humble Almost ready just to dive in And yeah at first, I'll probably stumble I use to want this for the validation But now I do it cause I love it No, I don't mind being patient Soon enough my bank account will be flooded I'm scaling up the summit
