4 A.M.

Running to the only place i know, the unknown But what i know about the shadows is that it takes some light to notice And what i've noticed is I have no peace, just restless feet fleeting And a soul in need of some mending But i cannot stop running away, no i would not stop running away At midnight i'm awake and shaken I am hunted by what comes in the morning So at 2 am, i sleep again- nappin' And by 4 am, i've awakened again I was lost in my own house, and no doubt I thought maybe if i could get out Then i could escape those dark clouds that seem to surround My bedroom became a battle zone all peace had left my home And i cannot stop running away, no i would not stop running away At midnight i'm awake and shaken I am hunted by what comes in the morning So at 2 am, i sleep again, nappin' And by 4 am, i've awakened again Spilling from my shadows Hiding in my dream pool I am hunted by this monster i've created And he's breathing right behind me Trying hard to slay me is Goliath, pulling at my spirit All my light inside almost died Cause i lied about who really lives inside of me
