love differently

It's not healthy For me To love a lover in the way that I would want to be loved Every time I do, I neglect the very fabric of love itself The very essence of the individual soul I dissraspek safe space or boundaries of the limitless heart I innerstood how each being is different And I grasped that it may be toxic to think that one person Or woman will be everything that I think I want But I would tend to forget That since that's the case I need to itinually learn how to love my lover in the way That they want to be loved Just as they are And just as they grow Inside and out To accept and appreciate them whole To learn them and actively love them Over and over again Day by day To see them as an abundant person or woman rather than Seeing what they seem to lack To see their journey, in gratitude of presently being a part of it Rather than seeing their potential in tunnel vision of that, as if It's a destination of my own And to guide them as mutually agreed In order to help manifest their ideals Rather than the ideals I held for them This isn't just something I noticed that only I did It's a common thread throughout the mass of humanity A programmed mindframe about love as a societal norm or construct Something many of us must unlearn Trying to change a being to be your perfect someone That's more like you Or what you think you need And not loving them anymore because you're both growing differently That's torturous and breeding grounds for trauma for you both We do "outgrow" relationships And some people do need change if there's toxicity Yet Before you deem outgrown to be the case Try loving differently Be present And reflect Then maybe, you can reconnect With true love
