In the Middle of the Night

I wake up really early In the middle of the night I get myself some water To make me feel all right Back to my room with my favorite music on To help me go to sleep Before I know it I start to dream Which starts out kind of deep I move around like a ride in Disneyland Not knowing where I'll go A grocery store or to a concert hall Other times I don't even know It happens in the middle of the night You know it happens in the middle of the night I have these premonitions On things I never knew Sometimes it's not so easy To forget the things you do I find myself getting lost in crazy thoughts Not sure what I'll do next But then the dreams show me Many years from now So I wake up and go to work In these dreams I sing musicals Sometimes it's rock and roll James Brown or even Lady T It's unusual to know these things Happen in the middle of the night You know it happens in the middle of the night In the middle of the night You know it happens in the middle of the night It happens in the middle of the night You know it happens in the middle of the night In the middle of the night You know it happens in the middle of the night...
