Everywhere is a Letdown

Well I woke up When the sun had cracked And the first light shined Shined on what we lacked So I walked out Into something new The scene of the crime For a sky of blue Out on the road No one is true Faces are lying When they look up at you I needed direction Where lost is found But I keep finding out Everywhere is a letdown The city was racing While my engine burned I lost in the sell out And nothing was learned Now buildings are falling Down to the ground Nothing left standing And you ain't around You know I don't feel free Nothing has changed I tried to get away But I still feel chained A feeling of darkness At the time of high noon Twilight was coming Coming way too soon I needed direction Where lost is found But I keep finding out Everywhere is a letdown
