So we're talking about like the mid to late nineties You know we take the 2-hour drive to Bristol, Pennsylvania, a place I had never been before in my life To meet this guy who, ah, you know makes these beats And I'm listening to the beats, we're sitting there the whole time, and ah You know, he's playing the beats but I'm really not feeling his vibe, and I don't know if he's feeling my vibe either It was just not a real situation where I felt like anything was going to come out of this meeting So, ah, we're there for about an hour, hour and a half And ah, at the end of the meeting we're about to leave And you know, almost unassumingly there's this guy You now, this guy sitting in the back, you know with a keyboard in front of him And he just looks up and says, hey you know I have some beats In a very, very, unassuming way So I step back over and sit down And he starts to play these beats And I remember it like it was yesterday
