Prophecy

I listen closely to the words that he speaks with trembling voice The divination fills his eyes while telling me I have a choice I could choose the path unseen if I receive the gift unclean A fate of madness worse than dead if I let the demons in my head Or i could choose to keep the oath for fill the elder's prophecy I'll be the beacon shining bright a compass for humanity As I stare into nothing, trying to figure out the words that he said He pulls me close tells me something, he whispers softly "Don't let the demons in your head" The prophecy has been foretold The destiny of my life to behold The revelation I've received in cryptic words spoken to me Two choices that cannot be true must be and epic fantasy A conundrum fills my waking mind a lonely riddle lost in time I wrestle with duality in hopes of answers i will see
