This is the way young turns to old The way of sinking saints Only another day From empty minds Come endless mouths And yet they're not to blame Only another day Somehow another day And the cars Pass by Sometimes it seems it's longer than the tracks But all That time Is nothing when you long to get it back And so the dust has set the steam and coach a memory Veiled faces ride inside The bones beneath the sand tell truths the vagrants fail to keep Footprints and dotted lines Lead to his silenced mind He tried so hard He cried that all the walking Helped the homeless find their way But just like all the rest His legs could not keep up his masquerade I am I am caged Day to final day You wait for Everything to change Poaching all the padlocks You can find Till you're within your room Finishing a touch upon your doom Standing back to cry Right as they turn out all the lights And the saddest part You never even figured how to start I am I am
