The steel itself tempts the man Gripped in a self-righteous hand Forged with purpose and a wish to know and understand The blade itself Gird yourself with arms and mail Against the waiting darkness Protect yourself You know deep down the blade is all you have He who wishes to be obeyed must know how to command The blade itself And commit deeds of violence The lust for power and vengeance and pain Lives deep inside us Existence is crippling. It's worse every day There is no innocence Searching for something to take it away The blade itself Annihilation attack There can be no holding back The fate of the weak is determined by this savage rule At the hands of the cruel He who wishes to be obeyed must know how to command The blade itself And commit deeds of violence The lust for power and vengeance and pain Lives deep inside us Existence is crippling.
