In the Dark

Fall asleep and wake up In the same pitch black Rinse and repeat for 4 Years of your best life I barely tried at all And yet I got this far What am I supposed to do With all I haven't learned About me and the world around I still wake up in the dark Reaching for a fresh start But it's not happening I feel locked on this path Is there no other way No there has to be Something greater than what I've been shown My future's not clear But brighter than I know One day I'll leave this home Become more than I am Prove myself wrong and be the best me that I could ever be And it won't be easy Cuz nothing ever is But it's worth it I won't even remember all the pain
