Missing Out

Hands in pockets awkwardly glancing around for safety I need somewhere to hide So many people I want to talk to but the words Won't come out from inside Can't stop messing with my hair or stop fixing my shirt I swear I look insane Why couldn't I just stay at home with the dog and cat I'm fine with the mundane And honestly I'd rather be missing out Socializing is overrated And honestly I'd rather be home alone Awkwardness can't be overstated Staying here is way too hard but I will carry on I've made it this far I know I'm supposed to do these things to become happier But all it's done is scar Maybe if I stop thinking this will become easier Pretend I'm not aware That I'm such a fucking social wreck I could get thrown out And nobody would care And honestly I'd rather be missing out Socializing is overrated And honestly I'd rather be home alone Awkwardness can't be overstated And honestly I'd rather be missing out Isolation is underrated And honestly I'd rather be home alone Loneliness can be understated
