I been trying to water a dead flower For way too long Sometimes I sit and I wonder Where I went wrong I been trying to water a dead flower For way too long Sometimes I try but I wonder why The roots aren't too strong Was it the sun that wilted the petals Was it the constant heavy metal Was it the rain that killed the roots Was it the hope of sweeter fruits What was it I been trying to water a dead flower for way too long Yeah sometimes I sit and i wonder where everything went wrong I been trying to water a dead flower for way too long But sometimes I try and I wonder why the roots aren't that strong Yeah was it soil from down below That killed this flower we wanted to grow Was it the weather was it too hot Was it too cold Well maybe not What was it What was it Regardless of care the flower is dead I try to save it but I leave instead And you don't care you seem happy As my tears fall onto the leaves For when a flower has died The hope disappears And I think back to that flower In those weathering years
