today i sat alone at the windowand i watched our little girl outside at playwith the little boy next door like so many times beforebut something didn't seem quite right todayso i went outside to see what they were doingand then the teardrops made my eyes grow dimcause i heard him name a gameand i hung my head in shamewhen i heard our little girl say too him(chours)i don't wanna play housei know it can't be funi've watched mommy and daddy and if thats the way it's donei don't wanna play house it makes my mommy crycause when she played house my daddy said good-bye
