Living in a Ghost Town

Waking up to another day the sun's shining bright But inside my mind it's a storm it's a fight People pass me by don't see the fear in my eyes They say "Just shake it off" but they don't realize It's like walking through a maze no way to escape Every turn I take it's just another mistake I'm screaming on the inside but no one hears a sound Lost in my thoughts feeling like I'm bound I'm living in a ghost town walls closing in Every breath I take feels like a sin All I want is to break free to be understood To find a way out of this misunderstood Every heartbeat echoes a drum of dread A weight on my chest filling me with dread I try to reach out but my voice fades away Trapped in this darkness night turns to day Like a prisoner in my own mind chained and confined Searching for an exit but it's so hard to find The world keeps spinning but I'm standing still Caught in this cycle against my will I'm living in a ghost town walls closing in Every breath I take feels like a sin All I want is to break free to be understood To find a way out of this misunderstood Silent screams tears unseen Invisible battles no in-between I'm fighting a war that no one can see Hoping for a day when I can just be me So if you see me lost in my own world Just reach out let me know I'm not alone I'm trying to find my way back home To a place where I'm not living in a ghost town
