She took her boytriend 's car and drove it out of town Wondered what he'd do when he cooled down Left him wondering why she ran out Sometimes things just don't work out Sometimes they can fall The car broke down coming out of Narrandera Left her stranded out on her own She sat down beside the road and started to cry Sometimes the brightest stars in the sky Sometimes they can fall They can fall Got to learn to fall Down on someone else Rain on down like a summer hurricane Blowing down from Queensland She'd been sitting round the house on her own way too long He'd stopped talking and the quieter he got Everything she knew turned upside down Sometimes the bravest soul around Sometimes they can fall A car load of shearers coming in from out of town They pulled over to see what was going on As she climbed into the car she began to wonder If she might be just another Stranger learning to fall
