Everyday I wake up and I live my life Everyday I sense that somethin' ain't right Everyday I'm lookin' up to the sky Everyday I'm askin' god; why? My dreams consist of God speakin’ to me Talkin’ about the path I follow, my destiny He be tellin’ about the pain I have to endure I look directly at him and I’m like “are you sure?” And he looks at me as if he’s certain My destiny is like a prize behind the curtain I already took lots of beatings, already took lots of losses I’m at the point of asking when is he going to “stop it” But I realize I have to endure what Jesus went through Like crucifixion on the cross, I gotta pay my dues And endure the controversy that comes my way So I can learn what it’s like to be in constant pain For pain makes you human, makes you empathize It’s when you connect with emotions that you realize That your destiny doesn’t lies with god, it lies inside When you dig deep down, that’s when you’re able to find Yourself Every day I wake up and I live my life Every day I sense that somethin’ ain’t right Every day I hope that my destiny is shown Every day I feel like I’m all alone Every day I’m lookin’ up to the sky Every day I ask God why Why am I even livin’? What’s the purpose that I’ve been given?
