Hope

To those of you out there Don't give up just yet For there's a light at the end You just gotta believe in it I have hope for the future, that things will get better Even though there are people who use the word never I’m optimistic, and I’ll always be… They can never take that away from me I’ve have stuck things out for the longest time And it’s getting to a point where it’s affecting my mind But there’s a light at the end, I just know there is I have to believe, I can’t accept it doesn’t exist Very few people know about the concept of hope Never bothering to learn, always being dopes It’s an easy concept, you just gotta understand That there’s potential for things to get better at the end And I feel like that time has finally come After all that hard work, I’m finally done… But there’s another plateau that I have to reach For this is just the beginning, I haven’t reached my peak You gotta have hope. H-O-P-E They try to bring me down, leave me so hopeless But despite all the odds, I’ll always resist For there’s a thing called karma that’ll bring some balance And with all the destruction it’ll be a challenge… Just to make sure things are the way they are And right now things are very hard… It’s really messed up and not very nice I just want normalcy in this game called life… I don’t want to live in fear until the end of time I want to have fun just bustin’ a rhyme Music’s supposed to be fun, not a horrible chore Right now I’m stuck as a soldier in a war But I still have hope that this will pass And all the trouble and torment will no longer last And I can be free, to do whatever I want Without the past haunting me, circling like a hawk You gotta have hope. H-O-P-E I tried to stop believing, I literally tried But everytime I died, I came back alive Wanting to try harder to make my dreams a success It feels like I have to pass this test I got ambition, I got drive, I got determination I got so much that it left me contemplatin’ Whether or not I can truly achieve my dreams Whether or not I can become a part of the scene I have lost so many times but I have not given up I’m a believer of faith, I put my trust in luck Even though lots of people say I cannot do this I am going to do it and yes, call me foolish… But you’ll never extinguish hope, it’ll never die No matter how many times you people try I’ll still hope for the better, even though it gets worse And I’ll still be hoping even when I’m dead in a hearse You gotta have hope.
