Realization

There comes a point in time Where you realize Everything around you Now you don't know what to say or do I've been on the path of life Never really thought twice Then I realized somethin' wasn't right Now I have to make my future bright I’ve been thinkin’ about my life this past year The COVID era had me left in tears Everything I knew was gone, washed away forever Five of my friends died and I’ll always remember Shows went downhill, movies went downhill Now it’s about pretentiousness, nothin’ is real Can’t go a second without bein’ tempted by the blue check Can’t go a second without the disrespect Everybody on their phones, it’s affectin’ their domes Infectin’ everybody cause it puts them in the zone I admit, I was a zombie needin’ a quick fix And then I realized that my mind didn’t really need it What can I do in order to live in this world Where people die of suicide, it feels so cold I refuse to bow down to be a part of a clique My mental health more important than fame and hits That’s what’s up There are things I didn't realize Until my dreams died Used to think I was big Now I realize I'm an average guy Used to believe my delusions and lies Now look at the tears in my eyes Just the consequences of life Here's my advice, make the right choices Don't be me
