Pretty Boring

Try hard to live in the moment But sometimes it gets pretty boring Getting old is my favorite pastime Everyday I say this'll be the last time Gas up ten cents to the dollar I wonder why even bother One day you're working for the weekend Working for the weekday Eking towards a bleak end My calendar is filled with disappointment Each date is a dentist appointment I've heard that looks can be deceiving But I need someone to believe in Try hard to keep conversation Start to feel a sinking sensation I say it happens all to often Start putting nails in the coffin But enough about you lets talk about me I've got a degree in something like zoology Or was it human psychology Sorry sometimes I get the two confused Can't tell if it's raining or pouring But either way it sounds pretty boring I've lost all interest in everything you have to say So I'll sleepwalk to the doorway Some other day Some other time Some other place To pass you by Some other fate I'm half awake It's much too early It's not too late It's not too late
