I got a lot going on cause I'm thinking all the time And the thoughts in my mind got me going crazy Lately I been feeling stressed and I think my life's a mess So I gotta go and take the time I need to reflect Chasing what I love but I think about the checks Can I really do it? Can I really be the best Always had my confidence but now I feel it less Recognize that I acknowledge it I put it to the test through the fire That's when you will know if you can go a little higher See my future self that's the person I admire In a bad place, in a rough mental space Everybody goes through it I don't got the time to waste Money's running low man, I really need to blow So I gotta let'em know and I really wanna show them Everything that I can be Still 100 on my raps never skip a beat when you see everything that really matters Changing my perspective I don't care about these rappers Cause I'm running my own race Me versus me so I'm always in first place When you try comparing it can lead to your worst days Now I'm really going through it The pressure is building so I put it in my music and I use it as fuel Used to dream about the life when I was going to school Back when I would never think I had to follow the rules Now I gotta go work Cause I need me some money and really wanna be heard And I feel I deserve, everything that I want When you're loving the journey you never call it a job because You just want the trip to last forever Compete against yourself always working to get better but it's hard When you gotta worry how you're gonna get it done And you feel like you're the one but the money doesn't come So you gotta keep on going People like to talk but it's not as good as showing I'm exposing everything on the page I get filled up with rage Got me working through the night so I can break out the cage And I can shatter the box that I used to be in People tell me I rock but now it's time to begin When I look at my watch I say it's time to go in When they tell me to stop I tell em' never again I'm on a high now Use my writing to release I'm getting by now Reflecting who I wanna be I gotta try now To redefine how, people look at rap cause I feel like there's a gap So I know when people find out Life is highs and lows Life is highs and lows, yeah Life is highs and lows Everybody knows Highs and lows
