| Electric Light Orchestra, Part II (often abbreviated as ELO Part II) was a spin-off band formed in 1988 by several former members of the Electric Light Orchestra. Originally, the group was created due to a legal dispute over the Electric Light Orchestra name between band leader Jeff Lynne and former members. ELO Part II continued to perform and release new music in a similar style to the Electric Light Orchestra, carrying on their symphonic rock sound with elements of pop and classical music. The band released a few albums and had some moderate success, but ultimately disbanded in the 1990s. |
