| Georgio Allentini is an African-American funk and dance music singer/songwriter/keyboardist/guitarist from San Francisco, California. He goes by the stage name Georgio. In 1987 he had several songs chart on the Hot 100, although none climbed any higher than #58. He was much more successful on the Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart, where he earned four Top 10 hits, including "Tina Cherry," which hit #1. Although his dance-electronica songs became hits, his overconfidence and insulting attacks on the talent of Prince and Michael Jackson limited his radio exposure. |
