When Alive Is Alive

Was I simply just existing Putting in my day to day as I felt Or I was I proving to myself I want to be me no one else You stepped up pointed out to me I live life focused on the future You said that this isn't living You showed me what I'm missing You know when alive is alive And I can???t believe just how much I've been missing by being away from myself You've shown how to live out each day And really embrace every hour of each day sharing with somebody else You've mastered the art of living Embracing every day for yourself When it comes down to it I look to you and no one else I'm finally turning things around It's nice to feel my feet on the ground I can't thank you enough for this You taught me what is living You know when alive is alive And I can't believe just how much I've been missing By being away from myself You've shown how to live out each day To really embrace every hour of each day sharing with somebody else
